Prevention is Better than Cure

Covid-19 pandemic has been one of the greatest health crisis in the history caused by the highly contagious and deadly virus called corona. But thanks to rapid advances of science and technology and to those medical experts who made the vaccine. As soon as the vaccines are released, older people got it first since they have lower immune system compared to children and teens. They are most likely to get infected easily and be severely ill. And eventually, vaccines are now available for children and teens in the world. It is an effective way to protect against the harmful disease and to strengthen body's immune system.

Covid-19 vaccines help our body develop immunity to the virus and protect us against severe illness. It can also lower the risk of getting and spreading the virus. However, there are still individuals hesitant to applying vaccinations to their children and even themselves. Some parents are worried for the long-term effects of the vaccine. They are also concerned that vaccines came so quickly and it’s too new. But little did they know, vaccines are clinically tested, and in the Philippines, they are FDA-approved. They tested and made sure that the vaccines are safe before they recommended and released to public or for us. Children and teens especially students need the vaccine since face-to-face classes are coming soon, it is for our mutual protection. As a teen, I am also one of those who get vaccinated to protect myself, family members especially babies, friends and people I meet. I also love to travel so it is better to be safe.

The vaccine is important for everyone, it is not compulsory but you need it for your own safety. I believe that this is the best way to end the pandemic after many years living under the pandemic stress. Keep in mind that the best way to keep yourself safe is about prevention not cure. So get your vaccine now!
